ROFL! LOL!

My wicked little mind saw STDs and thought you meant ''sexually transmitted diseases!''

I think they're ok for your immediate parents or children perhaps, but even if my bestest friend got married I'm not sure I'd want a magnet reminder of it on my fridge. No offense meant - really! But I think this borders on overkill. JUST my .02

I hear they can be quite painful. Can you believe Baltimore was the higest ranking std breeding city in the nation for many years running!! Go home town!! ''Charm city '' my butt. There's nothing charming about that. Other than that, ive never seen the ''save the date'' thingies. This is my first view of them, so im not much help.

I am with you all on that too.....I was thinking the same thing! It seems to me you can do these yourself! They make sheets of magnetic printer paper and you can scan in or download very pretty pictures! You could even do the design on business card paper, and then use those magnets that you put on the back of business cards! I know you could do this alot cheaper yourself! I am keeping that idea in my artzy file for future reference!!! I have three sisters who are not married.....yet!

DL, thanks for your input. The STDs are usually sent out to people who are not in your immediate family or in your bridal party. They would go to friends and relatives out of the state and out of the country. It is to remind them to keep the date open to attend the wedding since formal invitations normally do not go out until about 6 weeks before the wedding. Mel

I absolutely agree, I think it's best not to give STD's to your immediate family or members of the bridal party! <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/grin.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/grin.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/grin.gif'' alt='''' />

I try to only give STD's to people who are friends or who are out-of-state! <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/blush.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/blush.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/blush.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/blush.gif'' alt='''' />

We didn't do STDs because my mother and I fought over them - I thought they just needed the date and location, she thought they needed date, maps, hotels, and everything that was in the invite. I said ''screwit'' and just made sure DH or I notified people of the date over the phone or email! Man, I am SO glad I don't have to do wedding planning again!
