My Liz Rings - The Full Story

I have some very deep and troubled thoughts about giving someone in China a picture to "copy"..
Sorry, but this makes me laugh. Heck, they can probably look it up in the bridal magazines, or on PriceScope, or in some manufacturer's online catalog. Probably don't need anyone to send a picture, lol.

China copies everything that they can get their hands on. What does it matter where they get the picture? Once something is published, or can be purchased, you know darned well that China will copy it if there is money to be made.

I fail to see how having the Chinese make a copy is much different from or more unethical than having a USA bench make a copy, except for the added risk of language barriers and fraud risks.

I think there is something to be said for businesses who treat their employees well, but I take a different view of jewelry industry for reasons already mentioned in my previous post.

Anyways, I highly doubt about 99% of the people who go to my Chinese vendor will have the patience or understanding of communication differences to get thru an important project. Dealing with Chinese is very time consuming and frustrating, but I have lived in in Asia and am really familiar with the communication/cultural gaps that most westerners would find impossible, even those in the industry. I was unemployed at the time of the project I did with jewelryhoo and so I had nothing to lose but time. You won't find anyone reliable; but if you look hard enough you will find somebody who at least returens your money/goods for projects they screw up or fail to follow up on.

And yes, it is 300-600% cheaper if you get lucky.

i had jewelryhoo make a ring for me, it currently houses my e-acc Asha. it wasn't custom, it was a ring they already had listed on ebay. it isn't perfect, but i like it!
and i didn't have any trouble communicating with him, although it was a little more time-consuming than with LOGR.

Ohh pics please:)
I didn't have much trouble with jewelryhoo until I started giving customized orders; they would promise stuff then back out when they couldn't deliver and it took weeks. One setting they sent was slightly too small for my diamond and it had to be crammed in-I suspect it's because they made it in platinum and were skimping as much as possible. In the future I will order .5mm larger to avoid that from happening or from getting a setting that makes the stone look smaller (especially a bezel style).

I didn't find LOGR as good price-wise as I recall.
