My Liz Rings - The Full Story

I also had asked LIZ to fix my rings.....when she repeatedly said she could not 'see' the issues, then I asked for the refund...I felt that was my last resort...

She kept telling me it was a 'spin' issue...poorly fitted ring...not the case...

I'm just glad people finally spoke up about things. If one person was saved the money, drama, stress, and tears, then it was worth it to share my story on here. I just wish this would have been listed before I took the leap. Hindsight!

Well, Liz is still doing all of my projects- I love my stuff from her and its a pleasure doing business with her. People reading this thread dont forget that there are still many satisfied customers out there.

I am glad you are happy, and unless a newbie comes on the boards, is likely not to see any of these posts. I still feel what we wrote about was valid, and had you had our experience, would likely have felt the same.

Ive read through this thread, and as a newbie I find it refreshing when there is honesty. Im sure shes had some good experiences but the pics ive seen and the trouble involved with communications and repairs or refunds, as well other jewelers not willing to work on her stuff. Its important to let others know as it helps them make a more informed decision.

I don't want Sarah to feel like she's the only one here that says there are still some happy customers but none of them are posting so I'd just like to comment that I did have a project with Liz recently and I think it went rather smoothly and was very happy with the result.

Also, I'm glad that people were willing to post about their experience honestly even if it was a bad one and I did read this thread before I started the project so I knew what I was getting into.

Overall, I think the thread was very informative and it helped me with the whole custom design process, what to expect and important things to note even before the project starts. Basically all the ground work had to be done and listed so that there were no assumptions on my part. With all that aside, I had no troubles at all and even though none of the network jewelers would work on her pieces, that wasn't an issue for me since I wouldn't have mailed the ring for resizing back to Liz herself, let alone another jeweler.

Overall, I think the price I paid for a custom made ring and the quality of that ring was well worth it but most importantly, within budget!

I just wanted to update anyone that still reads this for updates on my Li-Ana...

I got back into the workforce a few months ago but decided that time at home with my son is still important. Just wasn't my time...yet. So since that is all over, I'm back on here again like an obsessed sparkly addict! LOL

My ring was sent to Liz back in July and she did fix it. It's 99% corrected. Noone but me can notice but it's still a VERY tad off but take that with a grain of salt b/c to me, a VERY bad perfectionist, nothing seems to be PERFECT. She did fix it for free which I am very grateful but had saved all the emails to back my story up that she would fix it but they weren't needed. It's straightened out and for that I'm grateful. I've actually enjoyed wearing the ring since then. In the future, especially due to shipping cost and time, I'll stay with vendors here in the good 'ol USA.

I have yet to have my next ring made but Christmas is right around the corner and the DH knows what I want, a little something from Vatche. So I wait patiently and maybe Santa will have it for me on Christmas Day!

I hope everyone that has written on this or who hasn't, will be able to have the ring of their dreams either from Liz or someone else. My story turned out good and I want to point that out. She never complained one bit about having to fix the ring. I wished her metal was more substantial but every jeweler is different. This concludes my Liz story. Take care!

I always thought thay Liz's jewelry was so pretty. I was almost at the edge of ordering with her, they only thing that prevented from doing so was:

1 - she is waaaaaay too far - to communicate and to get the jewelry back and forth for repairs or re-do would mean so many hard earned $$$ into shipping cost

2 - Custom crap. I mean by that, you cant fully insure your item otherwise you'll end up being raped in fees.

3 - i like to speak to my benchman - over the phone. I barely can keep up with a 6 hour difference with my German man, yet alone 10+ hours.

4 - this thread killed it for me. Really.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but I contacted her a couple of weeks ago about her halo setting options for my 8.5mm cushion moissanite (yummy yummy :D), thinking that maybe I could give her another try after reading the recent post in the Recommended forum. Guess what, never heard back from her, not a single word. I wonder what is going on there.
