This company (an owner named Barbara)does not sell jewelry but I had to post this to warn off anyone (brides) looking for silverware/flatware as I am sure many ladies look to replace or buy new from time to time

I found a set of flatware that I wanted just because. I have my grandmother's sterling, my Michelangelo, and a Reed and Barton pattern so I have no need for a new one but I thought to get something new to put in my drawer for everyday and pass along the set I am using now to my sister who is in need.

I bought the set, paid with paypal (your only options are paypal, check or money order) and that was it. I received an email the next day saying you can expect tracking info in 7-10 buisness days. I want to go somewhere this summer so I emailed back asking why the long wait for tracking info? Because it would be at least 2-3 weeks before I get the item. I do not trust leaving a package on the door and do not want to return to my home from far away to get it. I was expecting next week I would have the item. The email was nothing out of the ordinary but only as to ask why 10 days before it ships? It said IN STOCK so one would guess it is ready to buy right?

I was written back an email that said --I can find the item somewhere else and we are issuing a refund. Also the email said that I can read on the website where it says 10 days for items so there would be no need to ask...of course I didn't go to all that policy stuff as most people don't---you just go with industry standards you get accustomed to

They refunded me to my paypal---So basically it boils down to this...BARBARA got offended that I asked why it was 7-10 days shipping and didn't read her fine print on another page in her website and had the AUDACITY to ask why such a long wait and can it be sent sooner(let's hope she never becomes a teacher!) And "punished" me by refunding me and telling me to go somewhere else --and next time read before asking

I think anyone can agree this is out of the ordinary--most retailers wanting buisness THESE DAYS...would email an explanation and offer a refund if needed--she is too rich for being an owner these days that sells flatware that has been discontinued..so I am sure there is not a high demand/flow

I wrote her back and said that I would find it somewhere else and would let people know about my experience and how they handled a simple question about shipping times
So here it is

If you have a question about anything..you will get refunded...you will wait mininum 7-10 buisness days for it to ship (not including ship time with ground ups--another 7 days) even though it is stock?
Barbara will email you a sassy and rude email telling you to first read and then go find the item somewhere else if you have a problem with it along with your refund
"professional"

I am usually pretty easy to deal with, I am not the type to call the manager over to my table or customer service with things unless they are just ridiculous...and this one is ridiculous! so it made it to the avoid list. You will probably not be in the market for things they sell much..but if you are..you will want to keep looking
And people never know unless they are told

Hope this helps!

Hmmm, sounds like she waits until the money clears her paypal account and is transferred into her bank account before shipping, OR she's using the money to actually purchase the item from another company and have it shipped to you from them or routing it through herself. Thus the delay.

Yes it was ridiculous but I decided that I really didn't need that set afterall and saved myself some money for moving! So she loses 360 degrees around---future customers and my money --I just think that she doesn't really need the buisness because anyone who did would be nice
Thanks guys!!!!

I'm one of those who HAS to look - lol. This left me scratching my head, then thinking, run far far away!

What is your return policy?

At FourCornerShopping.com we make every effort to have an honest and fair return policy.

Unfortunately the nature of our business requires that we clearly state our return policy and that we stand by our policy under all circumstances.

I wonder why this is so unfortunate for them?

@Hollim27

I find it very offensive that you wrote about my company, yet, never placed an order; Very Puzzling.

You are no where to be found in my customer company order files and/or in my customer order database, yet, you have the nerve to bad mouth my family business, shame on you!

Just so that you understand my business, my company in an internet company that works with distributors and manufacturers on a "Drop Ship" Basis; all product is shipped directly from the "manufacturer" with the "manufacturer shipping requirements and the manufacturer warrantee".

The distributor and/or the manufacturer will ship, if it is in stock, and/or they will put a customer on a high priority ship list, and ships as soon as the inventory is available to ship.

My company does not insult customers and/or scam customers out of their money; we are a very respectable company in Massachusetts.

Learn about "Drop Shipping" before you bad mouth companies and their policies on your blog; you have no right to bad mouth a company you have never dealt with!

Thank you!

Hello BCensullo!

The OP was made well over a year ago, and unless you can get her full name from her user name, I am unsure that you would be able to be able to tell whether or not she ever did in fact place an order or not that was refunded via PayPal.

Additionally, this is not her blog, but a forum run by BTD. The OP also did not accuse you of scamming anyone out of their money, simply that she had a (from her point of view) unpleasant experience trying to purchase something from your company.

BCensullo? Why had you not just offered her this explanation when she inquired? I would have understood this and would have figured out how to receive the items if I really wanted them.

<--------You have't gained a new customer with your rebuttal.

she didnt read this shipping times..she was offered and given a refund...i never got what the issue was...

her calling you rude wasnt very nice, especially since i think lots of stuff can be taken out of context in emails and such..

and just fyi flash most vendors will never tell u they dropship, im surprised she admitted that...bc basically they take your money, pay a supplier and have them ship u the product...so they take a cut for being the middle man and dont really have to do any of the backend work, and in this economy ppl want to find the deals themselves and cut out the middle man...plus ppl dont like the idea of things being out of the hands of the person they are actually sending money to..

maybe i just get her point of view bc ive been on the other end..in my case i had the joy of placing about $7k in orders that were never filled, my supplier dropped off the face of the planet with the money, and i had the joy of refunding all of my extremely irate customers...things like that often make dropshipping look bad too bc lots of times the business owner cant take the loss..but most are smart and use trusted suppliers...

regardless she wasnt happy and got a refund end of story

From her story, it sounds like she didn't "ask" for a refund, the amount was simply refunded to her without her prior consent for canceling the order and she was upset because of how the situation was handled when she sent an e-mail requesting clarifying information on shipping times (which, they could have directed her to the page on the website, but instead handled her e-mail in a way she was unhappy with) and, according to the OP, was told to go look elsewhere for her merchandise.

*shrugs* That was my take.
