C & C Moissanite Diamonds - are they thieves?

Anyone else have any problems with this company?

Here's my story:

I sent my ring back last week to have a side stone replaced and they actually switched the center stone for a smaller one! My hsuband, my friends, everyone who knows me can clearly see the difference, yet C & C Moissanite denys it.

I have a real diamond (.75) that I compared to my Moissanite stone (2.0) before I sent it to Moissanite for repair. My mossanite stone was huge next to the .75!

This center stone Moissanite sent back to me looks almost as small as the .75!!!! I took it to a jewerly store and they said it's measring at 1.5!!!

Is this the way this company hopes to save money? By awitching stones when you send your moissanite jewels in for repair!?? I'm furious and will persue having this theft corrected to the very end.

Any advice on how to persue a resolution would be appreciated. For now, I'm starting with BBB.

Did you purchase the original ring from them? Do you have your receipt stating it was a 2ct 8mm stone? Can you send a copy of that to them along w/ a statement from the local jeweler stating it is a 1.5ct stone and ask them to explain?

I wonder if the center stone was damaged during the repair and they replaced the center with the wrong size or a size they had in stock and thought you would not notice?
