Avoid Traxnyc on ebay and the net

Just a heads up ladies. I was looking for a pendant semi mount back at Christmas time and found one I really like with traxnyc on ebay. I paid for the mount on Jan 10th and as of March 3rd I still have no pendant and my money. Of course paypal will give it back but here is the deal. Paul (the seller) told me on the phone that they didn't make the pendant in yellow gold but he would make one identical with their computer tech/casting. I know of people who have it and it made sense so I said yes. They asked me to ship my stone to them for correct mm measurement--the diamond was not worth that much so I put insurance on it and sig verfication and mailed it to them. about 4 weeks later..no pendant or communication...I contacted them and they said that they were setting the diamonds in it and it would be fabulous and bezel set. Well the pendent is a halo with 8 prongs! I didn't want bezel or I would have bought it
They said it was great and I would like it. I said no..just send me my stone back and we will cancel the deal..that was not as agreed--I wanted what I bought in the picture..then..they said okay we will do that pendant--weeks later--no pendant--no stone
I can only hope they would mail me my stone back now that a case is open on on them for non-receipt of item filed the last possible day to do it. They said by the end of the week last week and now are saying it again. I read through their entire feedback over 2,000 items and for the most part do well..but there are a few who never got their items..one was a pendant buyer
Lesson learned---AGAIN---read the entire feedback even if it is 1,000s
Never,,never mail anyone your stones to set --no matter how nice they are on the phone..no matter how great of a feedback they have

And if you buy something from these guys--expect it to take a month to get or more

I hope you get your money and your diamond back. Thanks for the heads up! I'm always worried about working with people on Ebay that I don't know well.

I didn't even see the responses until now---I have been having trouble online lately

I did receive everything back after paypal got involved---the pendant of course was not like the one I bought but I didn't even bother trying to get that resolved--I am just glad I got my stone----I think I have had enough of custom from anyone on ebay--see my post on Oxford Diamond Company in Avoid these online merchants! and you will see why

I ordered and paid for both the pendant the ring I have complained about in another thread to be in yellow 18kt instead of white so that is why they had to be custom ordered---Trax had the better customer service as far as the phone was concerned but took forever and paypal for anything to be done

As far as Oxford is concerned on the ring--since I didn't go through ebay --no phone call--no fixing anything--I am just out the money to fix the prongs in order to use the ring

if you check these guys out by just google"ing" their names--both have rip-off reports done on them and many complaints---soooo I have learned my lesson yet again--only go with highly recommended even if it means more money

that is awful. did you pay with credit card? contact your credit card and ask for a chargeback from those scammers. horrible service and not what was promised.

no payed with paypal and they did help because it was not the 45 days limit...but...it took an act of congress to get this company to do the bare min...just so I didn't lose everything!

I think you guys have the wrong end of the stick. I saw this thread and signed up just to let you guys know that I am a regular TraxNYC customer and have never had any problems. I'm sorry to hear your stories but they are definitely the exception to the rule.
My packages have always arrived on time and as described or better. And their customer service representation is second to none compared to a lot of jewelers I have dealt with in my time. I was dealing with Bryan at Trax only last week and he helped me find a watch that I am so happy with and that I wouldn't have ever thought to buy on my own.
I can say with my hand on my heart that TraxNYC is my first choice for diamond jewelry every time. It's hassle free online shopping and if I have any problems or concerns they are always happy to help me out.

George_C. How are we to believe that you have no affiliation with the above mentioned company. Joining the forum simply to make such a testimonial reeks of self promotion. That, and the fact that your IP address puts you in NYC makes your post less than credible.

However, members are entitled to make up their own minds........
