Thanks for sharing your story Milady. I know that must be really hard and kinda scary on a board where we all kind of feel like friends.

Aw, I know how crappy it feels to get proposed to with the wrong kind of ring. No vendor is perfect, that we know for sure. I'm hoping that you have your dream ring soon!

thank you for your honest review! I know it's hard to come forward with a negative experience when everyone else seems to be glowing about a company. That's why I love this forum, we get to hear the good, bad, and sad stories. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience
I hope you are thrilled with your jbEG ring

Thanks ladies! That was a tough review for me to write because Alb was very nice to me. I haven't worn an e-ring in almost 9 months.
I can't wait until I get my JbEG ring and I can start wearing some bling again! Should be soon.

well the fact that he treated you well counts for a whole lot. The reality is that it's hard for our wishes to manifest through their hands. It's kind of a miracle when they DO, especially when it's custom.

The fact is the ring is beautiful, it's just not what you wanted. I can't see the defects, though I'm not at all doubting they are there-just saying it's still lovely. II totally understand if the final product was not what you were searching for. I'm so sorry you had that disappointment on your ering.

That's my biggest fear in getting anything "made." If you pick a stock setting you pretty much know what you're getting. And generally? If you don't like it you can return it. Laurie knows I was paralyzed forever and only started feeling better when I found a stock setting I liked. Custom is amazing, but it scares the socks off of me.

I hope your ring from JbEG is exactly what you were looking for and more!

Milady, I am sorry you had a bad experience with your engagement ring, something that should be a happy and positive experience. I hope that your experience is the rare exception to the rule.

Like you said, I was not involved in your purchase, but had I been I would have advocated for your ring to be either re-made to your satisfaction or that a refund be issued.

If you would like I will ask Alb, to make any additional repairs to your ring, free of charge to you.

I hope you get the ring of your dreams from JBEG and it makes you really happy

Laurie

I am having issues getting my ring made right now,..
and although it is frustrating, it is nice to hear that Poppy would give a refund if it does not turn out.

I know it has probably been way past the time to get a refund,..which I wish he would have gave you,..but I guess no loss to send it back and see what can be done?? I am sure you have no confidence in any changes,..but maybe his bench has gotten better??

Unless you used it for scrap. Dont get mad at me ETaylor, but I have to disagree that the ring is beautiful. (my opinion!!) I think it is hideous!!

I am so excited for your new ring. The waiting is torture! No one knows better than you!!

+1 And Kanga, I hope you get your ring soon, and that it is everything you want it to be too.

Poppy, you are so generous and sweet. That is very kind of you to offer a refund or to repair the ring again. That wasn't what I was trying to accomplish at all, but I might take you up on the offer to repair it. Even with all its bumps 'n lumps, I'm very sentimental about this ring and one day, I would like to pass it down, if possible. This is the ring I was married in and I never want to get rid of it. I'll definitely consider that if Alb is willing to give it another go.
Thank you for the kind offer.

e.taylor, you are trippin' me out. Can you really not see the flaws? Am I losing my sparkle mind?? There's a giant mystery blob of metal right above the sapphire, almost shaped like a dying butterfly. The side diamonds are practically drowning since they are covered by thick metal and some of those blobs, I mean prongs, are diagonal and some are straight. It's a total mish-mash! I was a newbie when I received this ring and the flaws were completely obvious and unacceptable to me. I hope I'm not being a brat about this, but IMHO this is not engagement ring worthy.

Everyone knows that I love jewelry so I guess the expectation is that I would have a rockin' e-ring. No one has ever complimented my setting.
The Asha OEC has received TONS of compliments, though!

It is just such a different style of ring, your inspiration ring was so delicate looking and beautiful and looks like lots of attention paid to detail.

I am happy that AMcor has had amazing customer service regarding this situation.

No, I totally get it. This isn't the quality I would expect for an ering. I guess that's the disconnect and that's my fault. It's more "fun ring" quality. For an heirloom it doesn't cut the mustard.

I just went and looked at a photo of my ring all blown up and in your face style. What it shows is the attention to detail and shocking LACK of flaws. I guess I needed to see that to bring my head around. I was kind of in the "blow it up and of course you see flaws!" place. Yeah. Not so much. When I blow mine up all I see is all the teeny tiny perfect attention to detail. That's what you deserve. I hope you get it.

I don't blame you for not liking it, if it were me I'd be very disappointed and very unhappy as well. It's hard when you expect something to look one way and get it only to find it looks similar but isn't exactly what you had in mind. Thanks for sharing.

Geez, I wonder what happened there? Every pic I have seen of rings in the gallery seem to be spot on to the original and high quality.
ML, your story reminds me of Joyce's halo made by LS story.

I am having Alb recreate the BGD Grace design for me. I'll let you know how that comes out.
