    Haven't worn earrings in 7 months, got a new pair and my ears are a bit itchy and tender, (it's 14k which I wasn't allergic to before, any advice?)

    The fact that you have not worn earrings for seven months is a clue. Without jewelry inserted, most of us notice that the hole closes a bit- skin keeps growing, and our bodies keep trying to heal the piercing site back like before the piercing. So after a few days, you cause a minor irritation by inserting earrings, and the irritation needs to heal. The itching is your body letting you know something is happening.
