We are looking to upgrade the stone my wife's wedding ring for our 25 anniversary. We are thinking of going with a stone with the following dimensions, not sure if this is the way to go as it has been many year since we made our 1st purchase. I was hoping you could provide impartial advise on the diamond referenced below. The retailer tells me it is “nearly a perfect stone” needless to say I believe this to be a dubious claim. I am hoping to get a second opinion. Thanks much

    Hi HC228,
The jeweler is correct - it's a really well cut diamond. Only minor knock would be you want 34.50 for crown angle and this is 35, depth you want 62 and this is 62.60....but otherwise table at 55% is perfect, pav at 40.80 is excellent, crown and pav depth % look good, etc. Getting a 55% table is hard to come by but the ideal % for max fire/brilliance.

Anyway, there's not much to criticize here - maybe that its SI1 is the biggest drawback but the inclusion diagram is showing lots of small issues rather than one large visible defect, so that's good for an SI1.

    Summary is diamond looks outstanding.

    Hope that helps,
