I was pretty sold on getting a JbEG Lily for my 7.5mm Peachy Pink OEC, but now I'm thinking it's not a good idea.

The Lily is quite delicate. I am not known for being the most respectful jewelry wearer. So I think I need something a little more sturdy. However, I wouldn't mind using pave for this one as I think the white stones really make the pink pop.

    Here are my ideas:

I would do this all in platinum or rose gold and platinum.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that one as it's really similar to the Lily only more secure and sturdy. It's a single stone setting, so I would have DK make something similar.

I like the first and second.. but the second is very Lily-ish, so I think the same delicateness issues would arise. The MC2 one is really striking too, though, especially when paired with the channel set band.

But.. but... what about Lily? [IMG]

lol I just love that ring. I was hoping to see another one around here. It still has my vote, if you are still on the fence. Honestly, the ring on the persons hand (which is my second choice vote) doesn't look much sturdier than the Lily.

I do like the second one best, and it does have 8 prongs so it should be more sturdy. [IMG]

This is very Ginger-ish with the antique look and details.

Would MC2 be willing to source a peachy pink moissy perhaps then? I've always been curious about places that refuse to work with outside stones (totally understand the liability aspect), as to whether or not if you had a very particular stone in mind (say, an Amora 8mm OEC or something) and they carry regular moissy if they would be willing to go online and purchase that stone for a fee so that it would be "their" stone?

I doubt it. The quote that someone posted from them said something about using only natural stones. Some places are just not interested in having lab grown stones, of any variety, in their settings. So the best option would be to modify the setting slightly, and have someone else make it.

That's what I would do. But I'm still not sure. I think I'm going to set the stone in a rose gold fish tail from poppyseed until I figure it out and can save up.

MC2 actually wrote a super formal reply to someone here about how they are too traditional to use lab stones. Something like that. Lame.
