I just received my Chris CZ cushions to play around with sizes. I like the look of the 5.5mm and the 6mm.

    5.5mm

And I am debating between Amora cushion sides (regualr moissy cut) or ACC moissy sides...

6mm antique cushions! Booyeah! I think both sizes look good, actually, so I see why you are having a tough time deciding. I think ACCs will throw fantastic flashes of light next to that gorgeous sapphire. [IMG]

6mm antique! May as well go blingy. Just think of the big flashes of light from the antique cut....Yum!

I'm saying 5.5mm just because in the pics the sapphire looks so much bigger to me with that size sides.... for some reason I think it makes the stone look even bigger then what it is in real life... [IMG] crazy I know... but it pops with the 5.5s.... and of course I went with antique... [IMG]

+1 all the way! Go with the 5.5mms so your center stone looks even bigger! I voted Amora cushions for the sides, but it was an impulse decision, so I can't say I have a preference on cut, but def on size! Go 5.5!!! [IMG] lol

I like the 5.5, because like others have said, I think it makes your center stone look bigger! But that's a matter of preference, you might be going for more of a "three-stone" look where all the stones are major players, not just a centerstone with accents.

my thoughts exacty! Also, seems like with the 5.5mm you get perfect finger coverage without the stones being too much wider than your finger!

Antique all the way for the sides [IMG]

ok, what do you all think of 5mm sides??

for pretty much the same cost as the 2 moissy sides, wither Amora or the custom cuts, I can get 2 diamond sides, 5mm. They are antique cushions, I colour, eye clean. I think with the blue stone I want whiet side stones, not too warm. I am worried the custom cuts will be too warm to pair with the blue. but I think the chunky cushion would be so much more flattering beside the sapphire.

I would go w/the diamond antique cushions. I think you are right about wanting the whiter stone next to the sapphire. Either way, it is going to be gorgeous. What metal are you going to set them In?

OMG!! The 5mm look totally amazing with it jcent... and for you to be able to get them in antique diamonds... well... that says it ALL!!!! I also think that I color on the antiques will look freakin AMAZING with the blue sapphire!!!! Totally 100% sold!!!! If you go with the natural diamonds in I color and that gorgerous sapphire... it will be a show STOPPER!!!! [IMG]
