    Allow me to proudly present:
    (not for sale)

    4.33 star padparadscha from Burma.

As some may remember I had found my first star pad in 2008 and ever since hunted for another one, without success until now!

This 4.33 is certified as 'star pad' from IGI in Antwerp:

(I cropped the report to get it under 600pix not to hide the IDcode [IMG] )

In my time in Sri Lanka I was always told star pads don't exist, and remarkably both stone I later found came from Burma and I never heard of one from Ceylon.

Richard H. confirms this in an essay on pads:
    "Phenomena:
While star sapphires in other colors are common, star padparadschas are practically unknown. This is because yellow and orange sapphires from Sri Lanka generally lack the concentrations of well-defined silk necessary to produce distinct asterism."

I hope you enjoyed the view. It is something special, I believe.
