Hello all! I've been lurking here for over a week now. This site is addicting! LOL

I ordered my Ziamond ring before I found this site. I can't afford an Asha right now anyway, but it is a future goal. [IMG] It hasn't shipped yet, so I have time to cancel.

I'm wondering if Ziamond is really any better than regular CZs????

If not, I can get the ring I like much cheaper from another website.

    Anyone have experience with them?

    Firstly, welcome to the BTD board, Tammy! <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/cool.gif'' alt='''' /> <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/smile.gif'' alt='''' />

Regarding your question on Ziamond, do a search of the Simulants and Synthetics forum for ''Ziamond'' and you'll find a lot of discussion... <img src=''http://talk.jewelry/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/graemlins/default/smile.gif'' alt='''' />

Thanks so much for the welcome and the info!

So, just to clarify...the "diamond guy" is Ziamond right?

If so, I bet you all were rolling your eyes at me for that Newbie question! [IMG]

I think I'm going to cancel the order and keep looking. I have another site in mind that is in my price range, and that Ziamond ring is not making my heart sing anyway.

I'm scared to ask what you think of Jeweler's Direct?? [IMG]

I think one of our members ordered something and she was happy with it. Tammy is there a specific style your are hunting for if you check on ebay check for the seller American Set he has some very nice settings very reasonable.

Thanks! I'll look for that seller. I have a small .5ct channel set Princess Cut anniversary band I was trying to match a solitaire with.

However, this little ring is sooo pretty. I keep coming back to it. And I think the Pave setting will compliment the antique engraving on my band.

One of these days I dream of buying the Cartier reproduction set from BTD.

Tammy, I have the ring you posted from czjewelry.com and I just took pictures of it to sell here on the mgr! They also made me a matching notched pave band so the two fit perfectly together. I've never even worn this set out of the house...I'm really trying to pare down my collection so I'm selling some things. Anyway, didn't mean to hijack your thread, just wanted to tell you that if you were seriously interested in this ring, I have a size 5 and will be selling for less than if you were to buy from them! [IMG]

Oh, and as for Ziamond...I have only ever purchased one item from them and I was SO disappointed but I know someone here recently purchased a ring and really liked it. So I think it's hit or miss with them!

The funny thing about Ziamond is that I keep seeing pictures of their rings (these appear to be stock pictures, not 'real' pictures) on other websites for a LOT less. I've never bought anything from them but they seem waay overpriced.

I would love to see the real life pics. I actually placed the order before I read that anyone here had it, but I guess I do know how to cancel one too. LOL..I'm so impatient I swear.

I wear a size 5...is there any problem sizing these?

Hello Tammy! I've purchased from Jeweler's Direct. I thought the ring was lovely until I saw what a high quality setting looks like. Jewelers Direct isn't bad quality, but the setting I purchased was lightweight, the cz was NOWHERE EVEN CLOSE in quality to interlaps, ashas, cashmeres, saharas...

Like the ladies said, I would buy a quality setting from Oxford Diamonds of American Set and put an Interlap or one of the other high quality czs in it.

If you're looking for an inexpensive "fun" ring that you can wear for 6 months to a year, then Jewelers Direct is absolutely fine. They have a lot of choices!!!!

    Welcome to the board! [IMG]

I've ordered some flimsy settings from Jeweler's Direct but I've also ordered some that I've been very pleased with and that I've had for years and have held up without any problem. It's not like one of our vendors here on the board, where you're assured a top quality setting each time, but you also get what you pay for.

Thanks so much for the pic! It looks beautiful.

I can't afford to buy a stone and a separate mounting right now, so that's why this store is so appealing. Plus, I won't feel obligated to keep it forever, and can justify buying a better stone and setting when I can afford to.

Thanks so much everybody for your responses.

I can't wait! This is what I finally decided on.

I wanted a 1.0 ct Princess Cut because I used to have one with a real diamond. I'll never go in debt like that again! Although, selling it did pay for my escape from a bad marriage.

The JD ring sucked me in with it's beauty! LOL...But it's bigger than I wanted and definitely not princess cut. So I canceled the order. (I can't believe I've cancelled 2 orders in 2 days...I've never cancelled anything before!) LOL

You ladies have made me really really want a Princess Cut Asha. But I don't want to wait 6 weeks for a set ring, plus I only had a budget of about $200 right now.

So I called my local jeweler and then emailed him a link to this site...(he's very interested by the way, and plans on purchasing a stone).

I showed him the Tiffany Cathedral Mount and he is putting a 1.0 ct CZ in it...and then when BTD has another 1.0 ct H color, I'll get that and replace the CZ.

Sounds like a plan! I'm sorry I'm so chatty about it, but you ladies are the ONLY ones who can relate to Sparklie Fever. [IMG]
