    Hi all,
We shot some great comparison video and also a few photos today using:
    1 - Amora Super Ideal Eternity H&A (2.29ct, D/IF), $1661
    2 - AGS-0 graded, Triple-0 H&A mined diamond, valued at $45,000

Video will be ready soon, but photos are faster so here's the challenge - three photos below...which is the $45K H&A diamond, which is the Super Ideal Eternity?

    1 - Overhead lighting:

    2 - Ambient lighting:

    3 - Neutral indoor lighting

And to show there really is a diamond here:

And closest on BlueNile.com, slightly smaller at $44,591:
2.20-Carat Astor by Blue Nile™ Round Diamond | Blue Nile | Stock Number LD09472097
(note worth clicking to see a zoom 360 of an H&A diamond...note the faceted girdle :)

Anyway, look forward to your eagle eyes id'ing which is which!

I will say both looked much more beautiful in person vs these images, but at least now there is a 'control' in that both are dumbed down in beauty in the images equally.

I'll update with answers tomorrow and some general feedback from seeing them both in various lighting.
    Have Fun!

Here's the video as promised - sunny day outdoors and also cloudy. The video gets much closer to how they look in person vs the photos.

Please take a look and make your pick as to which is which! Answers tomorrow!

They’re gorgeous! I’d say the left stone is the AG. :D

    Hi all,
Thanks for the picks - time to update with answers and feedback!

1 - In general, the H&A diamond and the Amora Eternity are effectively clones in real life. The only real distinguishing factor was in brighter light, the Amora was a bit brighter and the diamond could have a small hint of glassiness. The Amora faceting was also (suprisingly) a bit crisper though this may be tied in with the very slight glassiness.
However, in most lighting it's impossible to tell and you could easily (very easily) make a pair of earrings using the H&A diamond and the Amora and have effectively a perfect match.

2 - The photos greatly underwhelm their real life beauty. We'll test next week with a new Light Camera that uses 16 focal lenses and see if it does a better job of capturing more how it looks, though both stones were equally dumbed down. The videos are much closer to 'real life' appearance.

    So results!

    1 - [IMG]
Amora on left, H&A diamond on right.

    2 - [IMG]
Amora Eternity left, H&A diamond right.

    3 - [IMG]
    H&A Diamond left, Amora right.

And finally video - H&A diamond on left, Amora on right!

Note - yes, the Amora being in an earring was a bit of a giveaway, it showed more than expected. Future work we will ensure we use identical holders to avoid that giveaway, though initially the idea was both stones would just show with 4 prongs holding.

Hopefully though you can see that the Amora Super Ideal Eternity is truly able to stand alongside much more expensive H&A diamonds, and hope you enjoyed the mini-contest to pick which is which!

    Best regards,

I should add, this photo at high magnification will show you the 'diamond sharp' facet edges of the Amora from our nano-polish process, which ties into the comment about the slight difference in facet edge in bright light:
